Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results. I created this mixed media pice as part od a series of 12 that are in the Terminus building in downtown Atlanta. Original is gloss resin on top of layers of paint on original photography. The bottom half is more of translucent glazes over multiple exposures with a matte finish. The middle division is a piece of brushed aluminum.
